Nothing leaves your Mac.

No account to start, no telemetry, no cloud processing. A link only exists when you decide to share.

🔒

On-device by default

Captures, annotation and text detection all run locally. It works offline, on a plane, anywhere.

🤫

Zero telemetry in the app

The app never phones home — no analytics, no tracking. The only network calls are the ones you trigger yourself.

Sharing is opt-in

Nothing is uploaded until you create a share link — and free links expire on their own after 72 hours.

Questions, answered.

Is Screenspot really free?

Yes — captures, scrolling capture, annotation, recording and share links are all free, forever. Free share links carry a small watermark and expire after 72 hours; Pro removes both.

What do I get with Pro?

No watermark on anything you share, links that never expire, and every future update. Pay once and it is yours for good — or go monthly if you prefer.

Where do my captures live?

On your Mac. Nothing is uploaded unless you create a share link, and the app contains no telemetry of any kind.

How is it different from Screen Studio or CleanShot?

Those are great tools for one job each. Screenspot covers the everyday loop — screenshot, scrolling capture, recording with automatic zoom, annotation and an instant share link — in one lightweight app, for a fraction of the price.

Which Macs does it run on?

macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon and Intel. Download the DMG, drag it to Applications, done.

Try it on yournext screenshot.
